Still Here, Just Been Busy

Wow, my last post was in February.  Nope didn't stop shooting film, it's just that I've been super busy on the digital / studio side of my photography life.  Something had to give, and what gave was my blogging.  I wasn't blogging on my digital blog either.

Anyway, like I said I'm still shooting film.  The other day I ran 3 rolls of FujiColor through a Canon A35F rangefinder, and a roll through a Canon Sure Shot Z180u.  Got to take those in for development soon.

Here's what I'm shooting now.  I picked up this sweet little Canon Sure Shot 80u.  Very attractive little camera.  I dig the brushed metal body.  Here she is.

I loaded it with a roll of FujiFilm FujiColor 400.  More on this camera later.

OK, let's hope I can get this blogging thing going again!

Cameras I'm Shooting - Canon, Pentax, Olympus, And Others - Oh My!

Went downtown Indianapolis yesterday with Stephanie and then went to the Oranje arts event in the evening.  I took a my Sony A6000 digital camera with me, but I also took film.  Yep, lots of film cameras.  During the day I took a Canon Sure Shot 85 Zoom, my Olympus XA, & my Dad's old 110 camera (not sure who made it).  After hours I took a Pentax IQZoom 130M (which I recently picked up at Goodwill) and a Lomography Fisheye II.

I tried out an expired roll of Kodak Max 800 for one of the evening shots, so it will be interesting to see if I got anything.

Fun stuff.

A Photography Type Of Day

Yep, another weekend, another couple of days to work on photography.  Today, I did digital & film.    I'm bilingual.  On the digital front I processed a commercial gig I shot this past Monday.  Check my portfolo site if you want to see what I do when not playing with film.

Anyway, I picked up 3 processed rolls today at Roberts Camera.  A roll from my Ultronic Panoramic, Time Rangefinder (which was my Dad's camera) & my all-black Yashica MG-1.  I'll write individual blog posts on each in the coming weeks.  I also dropped off 2 rolls - one for a Canon Sure Shot 85 Zoom & Ricoh FF-1s highlighted in my earlier post.

Finally, I picked up this really weird looking film camera, a Chinon Genesis at the Irvington Flea Market today.  At first I thought it was an older digital camera, but oh no its a film camera.  Seems to work OK.  Got it for a sweet $10.

Definitely not like any other film camera I have.  Should be fun to read about it and shoot a roll through it.  However, it will have to wait it's turn...I have a long queue.

Canon Sure Shot 85 Zoom & Ricoh FF-1s - What I'm Shooting

Canon on the left of me, Ricoh on the right

What film cameras am I shooting right now you ask?  This week and today I've been using a Canon Sure Shot 85 Zoom and a Ricoh FF-1s that I found at a local Goodwill Outlet.  Both are pocketable and fairly simple point & shoots.  I'll be doing a blog post on each soon.  Stay tuned.
